O'Hare Fire Protection System Rehabilitation

The terminal rehabilitation project required the complete replacement and total upgrade of sprinkler systems for terminals 2 and 3, Concourses E-F, H-K, L, the Rotunda Building and Elevated Parking Structure at O’Hare International Airport.

SPAAN Tech provided the mechanical engineering services for the rehabilitation of mechanical and fire protection systems. The services included: layout, design, specifications and, quality assurance and quality control for the new sprinkler system. The firm's design maximized cost/benefit realization while ensuring that security-related provisions were designed into the building so as not to diminish fire safety protections.
