SPAAN Tech provided comprehensive design and planning services for the installation and modernization of 11 signalized intersections in the City of Chicago.

For the project, SPAAN Tech conducted full topographic field surveys, identified all sidewalk and landscaping treatments, and inventoried all signs, pavement markings, and existing conduit numbers and conditions. An on-site design meeting addressed the utility information gathered, which was then incorporated into the design plan.

SPAAN Tech also prepared the traffic signal requirements and timing, electrical plans, restoration plan, pavement marking, and signage plans. In addition, SPAAN Tech completed sidewalk, corner and ramp design to comply with ADA requirements at each crosswalk controlled by a pedestrian signal head.
