Chicago Department of Aviation/O'Hare Modernization Program
SPAAN Tech, Inc. served on a joint venture and was the lead electrical engineering firm, providing construction administration and civil engineering services to design and construct a new runway, 9L-27R and Runway 10L at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. Systems designed for these projects included NAVAIDS, runway lighting, and pavement design.
From 2003 to 2009, SPAAN Tech, Inc. provided technical scientific and administrative support services. Programs which SPAAN Tech managed included the pit disassembly and Mixed Oxide Fuel Program for the U.S. Department of Energy's Argonne National Laboratory, New Brunswick National Laboratory, and Brookhaven National Laboratory.
SPAAN Tech, Inc. was involved with the ComEd facilities department to work on the development of IT infrastructure, consolidation of dispatch centers and the build out of ComEd’s regional call center.
SPAAN Tech, Inc. provided Phase III construction management, resident engineering, and construction inspection services for roadway, bridge, pavement resurfacing, and drainage projects for highways and roadways in Will and Cook Counties.
